October 12–13 brought Computer Use to every agent, not just a local Codex agent. Threads an agent opens now sit under the conversation that opened them, and a parent can manage the threads it delegates to. Shared sessions got easier to steer, and Full Access no longer switches itself off after a week.
Computer Use on your Mac, from any agent
An agent on any runtime, including a Cloud agent, can now read what is on your Mac's screen, take screenshots, and click and type in apps. Desktop runs the Codex App's Computer Use on your Mac and relays each call. Before, only a local Codex agent on the same Mac could do this.
It needs macOS, the Codex App with Computer Use enabled, Desktop signed in, and the Mac selected in the conversation's credential selector. The Codex App asks before it touches each app, and that question appears as an approval card in the conversation; with Full Access on, the card is skipped. It runs only in conversations you own.
Agent threads stay with their parent
- A thread that an agent opens is nested under the conversation that opened it, in the Desktop sidebar and on the iOS Agent page. Parents can be folded.
- Use Unlink from parent in a thread's row menu to move it back to the top level. The two conversations can still message each other.
- A new thread starts in its parent's permission mode, so a parent in Full Access no longer creates threads that wait for approvals nobody gives.
- A parent can switch a thread it created between Full Access and Auto Mode, or move it to another of the team's agents, and threads now start right away instead of waiting in a queue.
- Messages from another agent session or from GitHub show with a "Nuphos agent" or "GitHub" sender label instead of a bracketed notice.
Shared sessions
Anyone who can reply in a shared session can now steer or stop its running turn, including a turn a teammate started. The turn still runs as the person who started it, with their credentials and computers, so review who has Can reply on your shared sessions.
Mentions, files and usage
- Type
@in the composer, on Desktop or iOS, to point the agent at one of your other sessions. The new-chat composer has@mentions too. - A file link in an agent's reply, such as
src/app.ts:42, opens the file in the dock's Files tab. The Files tab now shows the directory the agent actually works in. - Usage bars on the Agents page show what is left, as
N% left, and drain as quota is used. The agent selector in a conversation shows usage for every agent.
More improvements
- + → Continue a Claude Code / Codex session now opens the imported conversation, and the list shows only sessions you typed into, titled with your prompt.
- Chats and Shared in the sidebar are ordered by latest activity.
- Linear issue tags show the issue's state as an icon and follow changes to the issue.
- A session bound to a Slack or Discord thread shows that thread as a tag in the sidebar and titlebar.
- Pull request and Linear tags in the titlebar open the GitHub or Linear tab inside Nuphos; Cmd-click opens your browser.
- The turn-finished notification shows the conversation title and the agent's answer.
- The approval card now has just Approve once and Deny, and the Auto-authorization settings page is removed. Their rules had no effect.
- Removing a Nuphos-managed agent now says plainly that it deletes the agent and its workspaces; conversation history stays.
- The CLI opens its screen at once and loads your account and teams behind a spinner.
Mobile
- Share a session from your phone: set who on the team can open it, invite teammates and pick their role.
- Switch agents inside a session from the chat menu, and see the pull requests and issues linked to it. Session managers can switch the agent too.
- Image preview wraps around, zooms with a pinch, and closes on a pull down.
- The keyboard follows your finger, long messages are folded, and pull to refresh works on empty lists.
Fixes
- Full Access no longer turns off seven days after it was set.
- Local commands and Computer Use never run on a different computer than the one asked for.
- Back returns to the conversation you came from after following a session link.
- Threads stay under their parent when the parent is pinned or shared with you.
- Long URLs wrap inside messages, terminals no longer fill with stray escape codes, and several theme badges are readable again.
