October 5–11 was our biggest week yet. Nuphos is now open source under Apache 2.0 and you can self-host every part of it, three new agents join Claude Code and Codex, and every session gets its own sharing controls. The first Nuphos CLI also shipped.
Open source and self-hostable
Nuphos is now open source under the Apache 2.0 license. Desktop, the backend, the agent runtime, the iOS app and the CLI now live together in github.com/nuphos/nuphos, and every release is published there.
Every part of Nuphos can run on your own infrastructure. On the sign-in screen, select Self-hosted? Set API endpoint to point Desktop or the iOS app at your server, or Use Nuphos Cloud to switch back. New workspaces get a two-step agent setup: local agents first, then an optional Cloud agent on Nuphos Cloud or self-hosted on Zeabur, Railway or Docker Compose. Operators will find images and upgrade steps in each release's notes.
Grok Build, Google Antigravity and OpenCode
Three new agents are available as Nuphos-managed or self-hosted Cloud agents:
- Grok Build (xAI) signs in with a device code and shows its subscription usage.
- Google Antigravity signs in with your Google account.
- OpenCode walks you through its own sign-in: pick a model provider, then enter an API key, approve a device code, or paste a code.
Models are now picked per conversation from the list the agent itself offers, even before the first message. The per-agent default model setting has been removed. Claude Code also gains Claude Haiku 5.5.
Share each session with the right people
Share is now a card with the session link, its participants, and a searchable list of teammates. Each session has its own General access: Only people invited, Everyone in the team · Can view, or Everyone in the team · Can view and reply. Invited people are Can view, Can reply or Can manage; managers can also move the session to another Nuphos-managed agent and change its credentials.
New sessions start as Only people invited. Existing sessions, and those from Slack, Discord, Lark and Triggers, stay open to the team.
Agents that follow your work
- Agents can link GitHub pull requests and Linear issues to a session. They show under the session title, and a linked pull request wakes the session on reviews, comments, CI results and merges.
- Agents can open a terminal in the conversation's dock and work in the same shell you see.
- Files or images sent while the agent is working now steer the running turn instead of waiting.
- An agent can hand a bounded task, such as waiting for PR checks, to a separate visible conversation.
Nuphos in your terminal
The new nuphos CLI opens conversations in a full-screen terminal UI. You can create a team, add and sign in a Cloud agent, and pick a model with /model, all without the desktop app. nuphos agent runs this computer's Claude Code and Codex as local agents. Update with nuphos update.
More improvements
- Home page cards for team activity, open pull requests, failing CI and pinned Dashboards panels, with synced layouts and a team default.
- After a Claude Code turn, the composer suggests the next prompt; press Tab to accept it.
- Find in conversation with Cmd+F (Ctrl+F on Windows and Linux).
- Images and videos show inline, several images form a compact grid, and agent files can be downloaded as one zip.
- Settings → Agents updates local Claude Code and Codex, and agent selectors show an Update available badge.
- The Agents page charts subscription usage over 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
- On macOS, local Claude Code reuses your terminal Claude login; local Codex can sign in with ChatGPT.
- Comment on, review and merge pull requests through your local
ghlogin, with a file tree in diffs. - Discord files reach the agent and agent files post back to the thread.
- Cloudflare scopes can be changed per category without reconnecting.
Mobile
- OpenCode, Grok Build and Google Antigravity are available, and each Cloud agent has its own page.
- Dictate in the composer with Whisper, using your own OpenAI API key stored only on the device.
- Pick the model, effort and Fast mode per conversation.
- Pinned and shared chats, session timelines, and a redesigned agent setup.
- Inline images and videos, smoother streaming, and more reliable taps and keyboard handling.
Fixes
- Attached files reliably reach the agent, and retrying a failed turn resends the right message.
- Turns recover after a brief runtime disconnect or a backend restart.
- Local devices no longer flicker between online and offline after long conversations.
- Rolling-range Dashboard panels keep their last data after midnight UTC.
- Pinned chats open correctly and keep their titles and indicators.
Available in Desktop v0.77.0, iOS 0.8.0 and CLI 0.3.0 and later. Download Nuphos.
