A steadier Claude Code runtime and Slack pickup for desktop chats

Claude Code conversations are more reliable, bash output streams live, and you can continue any desktop chat from Slack.

On August 24 we moved Nuphos onto your own agent, starting with Claude Code. The rest of August 24–30 went into making that runtime dependable in daily use, plus a handful of features you will notice right away: live bash output, picking up desktop chats from Slack, a redesigned Connectors page, and Full Access as the new default.

A more dependable Claude Code runtime

Most of this week's work is invisible when it goes right. Claude Code conversations now hold up better under real operations work:

  • Tool permission requests from Claude Code now reach you. In Auto Mode, Desktop shows an approval card instead of the tool running silently; anything unanswered, denied, or timed out is cancelled.
  • When a turn is stopped, times out, or fails, the transcript now keeps the partial answer and shows a short "Turn stopped", "timed out", or "failed" row with the reason, instead of ending in silence.
  • Each conversation gets its own working directory in the runtime, so files from one chat no longer leak into another.
  • Attachments reliably reach Claude Code, and image attachments render above your message text.
  • Scheduled wakeups appear as their own turns, marked Resumed automatically.
  • Conversations recover on their own after a cancelled prompt, a dropped connection, or a runtime restart, and resumed sessions no longer lose earlier context.
  • Slack and Lark conversations started on Claude Code get the team's default cloud credentials from the first message.

Live bash output

Commands the agent runs in its sandbox now stream stdout and stderr into the command card while they run, with auto-scroll. You no longer have to wait for a long build or kubectl call to finish to see what it is doing.

Pick up a desktop conversation in Slack

Started something at your desk and need to step away? Use Pick up in Slack in the conversation banner, and Nuphos posts it to your Nuphos DM and binds the conversation to that thread, so you can reply from Slack. From Slack, the new /nuphos pickup command lists your recent conversations so you can choose one to continue. Slack conversations also stay responsive mid-turn: messages from any participant are queued and delivered in order, and approvals show up as native Slack cards.

Redesigned connector management

The Connectors catalog has a new layout with search and an overview of what is installed. Each provider now has one info page, with resource and access actions kept separate. On-prem Kubernetes is now just Kubernetes.

Full Access is the new default

Bypass Permissions is now called Full Access and is the default mode for new conversations. If you have already chosen Auto Mode, Nuphos keeps your choice.

More improvements

  • Memory cards show titles first, with clearer scope and source details.
  • Grafana dashboards in Desktop render closer to Grafana: multi-datasource panels, repeated rows, saved variables, and time-series styling.
  • The agent makes fewer redundant Plan and connector calls, and the sandbox ships with Azure, Tencent Cloud, GitHub, GitLab, and Upstash CLIs preinstalled.
  • Linear issues created by the agent are faster to file and link back to the Nuphos conversation.
  • Focus styles are consistent across Desktop.

Fixes

  • Kubernetes logs now render ANSI colors.
  • Fixed the Windows ARM64 installer.
  • Restored window caption buttons on Linux.
  • Local tools that ran on your machine no longer get stuck after a dropped handoff.
  • Large conversations no longer fall into a reconnect loop on slow connections.

Available in Desktop v0.43.1 and later.
